In The Face Of A Unprecedented Era

In this age of uncertainty we are witnessing the encumbered stumbling of a portion of our country folk through the wheel of development as we collectively go through introspection, death and rebirth. One who bases identity and ego upon repression and suppression, which cultivate fear, ultimately end up feeling disempowered and living from a place of doubt. In that state of doubt, contraction is the natural reaction. People within this mindset thrive off of confrontation, base their identity on being right and having to prove that point. How does one effect positive change in the face of that? How do we take that contraction and influence expansion? How do we influence compassion, empathy and kindness at a grand scale when it seems we are living in an era full of deceit, manipulation and exploitation of fears, anxieties and anger? The path for myself is looking inward deeper, strengthening my daily spiritual practice, offering gratitude for every aspect of being. It is a hard path, but to me, the worthwhile one that was enlightened to me after my medical issues last year. It may be hard but its rewards one with a much greater feeling than the path of complacency, laziness, repression and the feelings of fear, anxiety, stress and doubt. If light is love, then fear is its shadow. Live in the light.
